Line:

An aspiring film director falls in love with a Christian girl elder to him. Whether he is successful in his love story or not forms the essence.

Story:

Karthik (naga chaitanya) passes from engineering college but his dream lies in becoming a film director. He keeps trying for the breakthrough and takes the help of his actor friend Krishnudu (krishnudu). His life takes a turn when he sees Jesse (Samantha) who incidentally happens to be the daughter of his landlord. It is love at first sight and Jesse is wooed by Karthik from thereon. Though she likes him, she makes it clear that it can’t work out because she is Christian and that she is elder to him. But in no time, love gets strong and she confesses her feelings. But a sequence of events happen that take Jesse to her marriage and far away from Karthik, what happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Artistes and technicians:

Naga Chaitanya has given a good performance and he has grown as an actor in his second one. He still needs to polish the soft expressions like tears and showing grief on his face. Samantha is a show stealer and she has shown her naturally beautiful and talented looks at the right time. She will grow in the industry. Krishnudu has done his job as required and managed few light moments. Devan was decent, Surekha Vani was simple, Sanjay Swarup was alright, the others did their bit as required and made a valid contribution.

The director has come up with a heart rendering subject and he has made it strong with some rich presentation and quality narration. The dialogues were neat, the script was sensible and the screenplay was mindblowing. Background score was not required at few spots but two songs were neat. Cinematography was top notch and editing was also crisp. Costumes were trendy and locations were romantic. Art department fills the moods with fragrance.

Highlights:

    * direction
    * screenplay
    * romance intensity
    * cinematography
    * visual appeal

Drawbacks:

    * melody of songs
    * comedy

First half and second half:

While the first half takes off on a regular note with the heydays of romance and how it blooms, the second half gets into the deeper aspects and how life matures with different shades.

Report:

The film is basically a high quality product in terms of technical aspects and content. This has got a strong connection with real life and the emotions are genuine and credible. This time, Gautam has focused on the pace as well giving it the right tempo so not many idle moments for the audience except for the unwanted song or two. At the box office, this is a good one for the metro and A-centre audience but given the class of it, the mass may find it hard to relate to.

Recommendation:

Strongly recommended for class audience
